Linux |
| I recently switched to Ubuntu, a Linux operating system. Ubuntu is much faster then windows, you don't get as much spy ware and other junk on it, and every thing is free. I switched mainly because I was tired of waiting for Windows and it is easier to use a Linux system with the Gumstix computer, with windows you need something like Cygwin, a Linux emulator. Linux you can do almost anything that you can do in Windows(yes, you can play games for Windows if you are willing to pay something like $5 a month). A lot of things can be added to Ubuntu with the termial (aka. command prompt) using sudo apt-get install ________. For example a program called Banshee, an iTunes replacement, you use sudo apt-get install banshee. Here are some pictures.   |
